I want to start off by saying that on the day of Katie and Brian’s downtown Detroit engagement session, it was BY FAR the coldest day of the year! We hopped around city streets, caught some action in traffic, embraced the magical steam of a manhole and ended the evening with the most perfect golden hour views. Instead of swapping two different outfits for the shoot, Katie had the absolutely brilliant idea of doing photos with one super cute outfit, and some with their jackets on (totally needed in that weather by the way). This gave their shoot two different looks (downtown date night and sexy/casual) without the hassle of finding a place to change wardrobes!

PRO TIP: Make sure to stop in and warm up on days like this! We hopped inside of a Buffalo Wild Wings to warm up for a few minutes and prevent Rudolph noses and red fingers! 🙂 Check out just a few of my absolute faves below!
