My most embarrassing moment as a photographer happened just before Courtney and Dan’s Stoney Creek engagement session. Prior to their shoot Courtney had texted me telling me they were running a little bit late. I told her it wasn’t a problem, and that I would be in the black SUV in the back of the parking lot when they arrived. Keep in mind Courtney and I have never met, so when a girl ran over to my car a few minutes after six o’clock and said, “I’m so sorry I’m late, you’re the photographer right?!” I assumed it was her.

Fast forward five minute, we’re walking toward our first location and I’m wondering why “Courtney” did not have Dan with her. I thought maybe he was meeting us at the first spot. The more we chatted the funnier the feeling I got so I asked her, “By the way… is your name… Courtney?” The girl stared at me blank-faced and asked if I was Arabic. She told me she should have guessed not with my pastel pink hair and blue eyes haha! We walked back to the parking lot – she found her right photographer and I found the real Courtney and Dan!
